Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Previous experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
• Background in special education environments beneficial, though not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic school settings.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive health care services within a special needs classroom, supporting students’ unique medical and educational requirements.
• Administer daily medical treatments and monitor for health changes or emergencies.
• Coordinate care plans and health records in compliance with school and state guidelines.
• Provide medical care and supervision for students during their transportation to and from school as necessary.
• Serve as a resource for educators and administrators regarding student health needs.
• Foster a trusting, supportive atmosphere for students, advocating for their safety and well-being.
