Located just steps from the Alamo, this Historic Hotels of America landmark stands as a true Texas icon.TasksLead, motivate, and develop Housekeeping team members, cultivating a culture of pride and accountabilityEnsure proper onboarding, training, and ongoing development of all team membersPlan, organize, and monitor daily operations of the Housekeeping departmentUphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and professional conductProvide clear direction and consistent expectations to set the team up for successMaintain open communication that fosters fairness, consistency, and accountabilityReview staffing levels to support guest comfort, operational demands, and productivity goalsConduct performance evaluations and lead team meetings as neededUtilize the PMS to generate daily room assignments and manage workflow efficientlyPartner with other department leaders to anticipate special requests, events, group blocks, and occupancy patternsComplete regular inventories to ensure appropriate supply levels and cost controlMaintain a robust inspection program for guest rooms, corridors, and public spacesOversee departmental budgets and inventory controlsCapabilitiesPrior Housekeeping experience strongly preferredPrior team leadership experience highly preferredThorough understanding of hotel operations and industry standardsExcellent communication skills — professional, personable, and approachableExceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skillsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeComfortable using cleaning chemicals and equipment safelyAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAs part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members, including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program, and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
